One Step Closer to Dubya's Fascist State

Dubya continues his campaign of lies against the people of the US. He attacks sovereign states with lies. He attacks the American people with lies continually, but none is bigger than his attack in the guise of Medicare Prescription Bill. He originally set the cost at $400 billion, while Richard Foster, Chief Actuarial of Medicare, who had the true cost of $542 billion, was muzzled by Thomas Scully, Dubya’s Medicare Chief, who is now a lobbyist for drug companies. The cost is now $742 billion and rising.

Why would Dubya lie about the true cost? Maybe he believes world domination begins at home. If the US is bankrupt, the federal government cannot enforce laws against corporations and the neocons have achieved the triumph of fascism, the union of politics and American corporations thereby fleecing the people with no regulation whatsoever. Dubya has already robbed the taxpayers of $300 billion plus on his wars of American imperialism.

The sickest part of the Medicare Prescription Bill is that the real cost is limitless because it contains the provision that the government cannot negotiate with drug companies. The government must accept whatever the drug companies charge. The future of America is in the hands of the people, who must protect our republic from this neocon gift of taxpayer money to corporate America and the complete triumph of neocons’ fascism. NYTimes called this bill “a corrupt deal created by a corrupt system.”

In truth, it is one step closer to the fascist state that Dubya and the neocons are determined to create while destroying American Democracy.
