Bush is Our Failed Father
If America is one big family, then our father, the American president, has totally failed his family. A father protects his family, provides for it, and nurtures it. He instills integrity and honesty by example and prepares meticulously for a prosperous future for each family member. He provides shelter and medical care for the whole family, young and the old. He provides the best possible education because he knows education is the foundation of success for a prosperous present and future. He provides for the happiness of his family by eliminating imagined fears and, confronting straight on, real fears. He teaches empathy for others and responsibility for one’s actions, because he knows his family has the same goals as every other family in the world. He teaches his family how to get along with other families so they live in a harmonious world. He teaches his family to care for the environment because it is their outside home. The family needs a clean environment because they breathe its air, find serenity, beauty, and re-creation in it. The family must be taught to respect the environment because it is the water we live in. When a disaster strikes, the father, immediately and to the best of this ability, does everything in his power to protect, stabilize and reassure his family. He teaches his family the Commandment, “Thou shall not kill.”
A father who does none of these father responsibilities is a failed father. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were Founding Fathers. George W. Bush is a failed father
