A Doolittle Tale

While in Lincoln Precinct Walking for Democratic Assembly Candidate Rob Haswell, I talked to a couple, the man a Democrat and the lady a Republican. They asked who Rob is running against, and I told them Ted Gaines, a well-financed Doolittle yes-man. The man said, “I’m voting against that (expletive deleted) Doolittle.”

The lady asked, “Do you want to hear my Doolittle story?”

When my son attended Sierra College and was in the Young Republicans, he worked his tail off for Doolittle … walking precincts, calling, and tabling. After Doolittle won, no one in the club ever received a word of thanks from Doolittle. He uses people. I will never vote for that man again.”

In unison at the end of her story, the couple said, “Rob has my vote.” By inference, guess who does NOT have their vote.

This is one of many anti-Doolittle tales I hear in the course of a day’s Precinct Walking.
