A vote for Ted Gaines in California Fourth Assembly District is a vote for Don John, local head of the John Doolittle Mafia. Senior Doolittle lieutenant Tim Leslie is term limited out of the California Fourth Assembly District so Don John, the Godfather of Corruption, anointed Ted Gaines, the Darling of the Developers, to run for Leslie’s seat.

Ted Gaines never met a developer he did not support, and, while on the Placer County Board of Supervisors, either supported every developer, or, more likely, refused to vote for any attempt to preserve natural habitat and open spaces. He has the worst environmental record of anyone ever to serve on the Placer County Board of Supervisors except current Doolittle yes-man Bruce Kranz. Even Republicans have no say in who runs for office in Placer County. Their choice is Doolittle’s man … always.

Here is how it works. Doolittle gathers pork and legislation for developers in Washington, Tim Leslie dittos at the state level, and Kranz and Gaines ditto at the local level. The Doolittle Mafia’s three-prong attack serves itself first ( 15% to the family paid directly to wife Julie for every donation to Doolittle) and its developer friends next ... never the people.
