If Congressman John T. Doolittle Were Ethical

The forces of reason have finally triumphed over the forces of evil and the Auburn Dam will NEVER be built. Work in the American River Canyon below the Overlook is undoing the harm inflicted on our riverbed by Congressman John Doolittle in his fanatically attempt to do the bidding of those who purchased his office for him, the wealthy developers, whose thumb puppet he always was and is. But, nothing is being done to repair the gashes in both sides of the Canyon gouged for the footings to the Dam.

If he were an honest and principled man, he would declare his failure to build the Auburn Dam publicly, apologize for the agony he has caused many of his constituents by trying to deceive them into believing that what he wanted was really what they wanted, and for the harm he has inflicted on Mother Nature.

If Congressman John Doolittle were an ethical man, he would use his own money (really the money of his backers) to heal the ugly wound he has inflicted on the blessing of our edenesque Canyon.

If John Doolittle were something other than a demagogue and sycophant of the wealthy, and cared about us little people, he would appropriate taxpayers’ money to repair our mangled Canyon.


But, since Doolittle is none of these, possesses none of these virtues, his lasting monument to the people of his district, that for which he will always be remembered, is -- the John Doolittle Scar Upon the Land (JDSUTL), a memorial that will live in infamy as long as people have eyes.

War Negates All That is Good in Life

War is an abomination against all that is good in mankind. Dubya's War is an abomination against the universe because it cheapens, degrades and sacrifices human life, a creation of the Divine Essence, for financial and specific political gain. And Dubya's War is based on flagrant lies, proven lies. What good has his war against once-defenseless Iraqis done to profit anyone? What has Dubya's War done to profit the common man? Has it made us better spiritually, morally, ethically, or even financially? Dubya is a professed Christian, but nothing he has ever done in his entire life gives evidence of this profession. He is a greedy, small-minded, self-serving puppet of corporate America who mindlessly does its bidding at the expense of the people. He will never change unless the people change him.No power exists like an idea whose time has come, and the salvation of mankind will come through each individual changing himself inwardly to reject this man, and that collective change in the people will become that idea whose time has come. That collective unconsciousness in the people will wash the world free of the cancer called Dubya.People are the only hope.

Robin Hood in Reverse

By every index available but one, his family name, Dubya has been an abject failure as a human being and as a President. For corporate America he is a shining star of success. Since he took office, the compensation for CEO’s of Fortune 500 companies has risen 54 per cent and the price of gasoline has doubled with Dick Chaney’s Halliburton and other friendly oil corporations enjoying obscene, manipulated profits.

Dubya has finally achieved a level of success his family name provided him Where do the monies for these expenses come from? Does anyone not know?

Dubya has succeeded in stealing from the poor and the American taxpayer and giving to the rich, a Robin Hood in reverse while the Republicans stand mindlessly on the sidelines and cheer his iniquities, watching silently while the children of middle and working class people die pointlessly in the Oil Field Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Another Prophetic Thought Written June 10, 2006

Because the Bush administration and our Republican leadership have so bungled their opportunity to create a moral world order for Americans and citizens of the world to be proud of, Republicans in Congress will be purged from both houses because they have created the worst failure of leadership in the history of our beloved Republic. The public must no longer tolerate the moral failure of this administration.

The gap between the rich and the poor is the world’s greatest problem, and in 2000 the average income per person in the twenty richest nations was $27, 591 and in the poorest nations only $211, a ratio of 131:1 AND CONTINUES TO WIDEN. This gap is widest in the US and is leading to another American Civil War, starting with immigrant demonstrations as a backlash to the Republicans using immigration as another divisive wedge issue . This inequity between rich and poor is the greatest single cause of world terrorism and suicide bombings. When people face a hopeless future, they become suicide bombers, striking out desperately with their only weapons. US leadership has failed so miserably that each Republican incumbent ought to resign, but, because of their immorality, none will. We must remove them.
We can start locally by voting ALL Republicans out of office and replacing them candidates whom we have researched carefully and know to be a moral human being. Now is the time to become active in saving our Republic. If we want a better world, the building must begin at home, here in California and in the US. We must start to create a moral world by electing moral people to represent us with honesty, integrity and a sense of what it is to be a statesman, not a politician

If You Voted for Bush, Do You Still Think You Did the Best Thing for America?

Supporters of the Bush administration frequently question the patriotism of anyone who questions his policies. Anyone who is remotely informed about his policies knows that they are dangerous to the world at worst and destructive to the United States at best.

Bush supporters must be people who trust him without any verification of his policies whatsoever. To trust without verification, as Ronald Reagan believed, is an act of stupidity not loyalty. To follow Bush blindly is to contribute to the destruction of our republic. He is that dangerous. Hopefully you informed yourselves of his policies before you voted for a madman and saved your faith for religion. A patriot is an informed, active citizen.

Prophetic Note Written in January 2005

Far Right Republicans, who sleepwalk through life focusing on God, Gays, and Guns to torment their fellows, will never see or even look for the reality of living in the here and now. They cannot be influenced from their deeply held faith, which is a willingness to believe in the supernatural. Faith is another word for fear of reality so deeply ingrained that any fantasy becomes preferable to reality. Republicans are beyond the pale of common sense so they must be left to their own perception, which is self-deluded, self-centered and self-destructive.

That Republicans currently hold political power is aberrant and transitory. The evil that they have done is short- lived and easily correctable.

How can we others combat the evil the current administration has inflicted on the world? We must begin with small acts.

A great thinker said, “You must do what you can. Always. At night you must go to sleep knowing you have done your best, and there is no more you can do than that. Do not let the problems overwhelm you. Start somewhere, anywhere, with just the smallest gesture of compassion for the least of the least and do it in secret. Know you have made a dent against the evil this administration has inflicted on the world.”

He said further it is so easy to whine about this administration, but whining corrects none of its evils. We must instead create an army now, a conquering army of people committed to peace and goodness. And then conquer the evil with acts of compassion and mercy, of love and respect for the least among us.

The first step is to wake up to reality and live in the here and now with all of our senses and perceptions highly honed. See reality as it is straight on and then do something for good.

The New Doolittle is the Old Doolittle

“Doolittle Builds Up Trust As He Reaches Out to Area Voters” screams the AJ editorial headlines of Jan 24; he says he needs to “rebuild the trust and support of my constituents.”

Then he supports the Governor’s plan to build two new dams. Doolittle never met a dam he did not support hoping to ultimately build the Auburn Dam, the building of which is what his supporters gave him over $2.4m for to defeat Charlie Brown. And he says he no longer will pay his wife Julie to fundraise.


January 25 headlines: “Doolittle wants wife to keep fundraising.” He says, “It’s my desire that she do it ….” In the Sac Bee on January 26, Doolittle says he also supports Bush’s surge for Baghdad: “I must admit I struggle with this … but he is the commander in chief.” He knows the Iraqi government is not up to the task Bush has assigned it and believes it must “respond almost flawlessly. And it’s not flawless.” Yet he supports Bush mindlessly.

How is the New Doolittle different from the Old Doolittle? The Doolittle Leopard has the same old spots … but no backbone or independent thinking even when its survival is the issue.

Bush's Religious Fanaticism Perverts Christ's Teachings

The kind of Christian fundamentalism Bush and his fanatics espouse opposes reason and rejects love and science completely. Their intolerance creates fear and division. Nowhere in the Bible is a directive on abortion, prayer in school, contraception, subjugation of women and minorities, and only one hypothetical reference to homosexuality in Paul’s Letter to the Corinthians. If Bush’s religion leads to the deaths of 3,000 Americans and over 700,000 Iraqis, then what he is practicing may have been good for him(dope, alcohol), but certainly not good for the world. Thou shalt not kill is a Commandant and killing is a primal violation of Jesus’ love.

The Law of the Prophets tells us to love God completely and our neighbors as ourselves. Everything in the Bible is not the word of Jesus so reason must be used in its interpretation i. e. slavery is practiced in the Old and New Testament, yet it violates the Law of the Prophets and must be reasonably rejected. If the fanatics were logically uniform, they would support slavery because it is defended in the Bible and not cherry pick to defend a political dogma.

Finally, Christianity is love. Fanatics displaying signs saying “Jesus Hates Fags” is as remote as possible from Jesus’ teachings. Jesus loved everyone. Those who intolerantly reject individual differences are practicing something other than Jesus’ love.

Finally, all human behavior must pass the test of love. Do we love our neighbors (Mexicans, Muslims, Russians) the way we love ourselves, unconditionally? Now is a good time to evaluate our behavior to determine if we are practicing Jesus’ love clear through or unknowingly perverting the Law of the Prophets for political ends. If we can practice love now, at this moment, we can practice it always. Loving unconditionally is Jesus’ gift to the world.

Bush is the Worst Person Ever to Be President

Most believe that Bush is the worst president in the history. But, more importantly, Bush is the worst person ever to be president.
He is a chronic liar, a deserter from his National Guard unit, is indirectly one of the greatest mass murders of all time with the deaths of 3,000 Americans and over 700,000 Iraqis, and is fighting to increase these numbers. He is a psychopath with no conscience and cannot admit he is ever wrong, a psychopath in the mold of Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and Genghis Khan. He is incapable of showing human compassion. He is a religious fanatic who has perverted his religion to serve his political purposes. He has never shown love and uses religion to divide and exploit. He is a failed father as evidenced by the behavior of his twin daughters.
He dislikes gays, immigrants, people of color and most anyone who does not immediately lie down for him. He surrounds himself with sycophants and toadies who will support his fanaticism unquestioningly. He has led his country into a war labeled the greatest mistake in American history, and yet he continually tries to disregard the obvious failure and cling to his monomaniacal belief that he is right and the rest of the world is wrong. He has made our country the most universally hated on earth. He is eager to sacrifice more American troops in an failed war. He will continue to stay the course in Iraq even if only Laura and Barney, his dog, support him, and he has a chance to test his resolve because Laura and Barney are about his only supporters.

His fanatical religion may have got him off dope and alcohol, but has done nothing to instill the law of the Prophets in him to love God completely and to love his neighbor as himself. He cannot love himself because he is incapable of human love. The concept of love seems so foreign to this man that religion is only a vehicle that he uses for his own edification and for political purposes. His behavior is devoid of any Christian love. He is a callous human, devoid of the slightest shred of humanity. He directs that slain American soldiers not be returned home during daylight but brought home under the cover of darkness. He thinks he can deceive people if he is careful enough because his privileged life has taught him that he will never have a day of reckoning and he can fool everyone all the time.

Impeachment would only disrupt our country and would only keep him in the public eye while the government is handcuffed. What he deserves is indictment by the UN War Crimes Tribunal for Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes. His behavior has disgraced our country and heaped hate on Americans worldwide.If there is a God, then vengeance, as He says, is His. And Bush will be a most deserving recipient of God’s vengeance

Miracles Do and Still Can Happen in Auburn, Californi

Auburn is not generally known as a locale for miracles, but a miracle is currently taking placing right here in this sacred land. To witness this miracle, simply travel to what was once the Auburn Dam Overlook, or even better, hike down our lovely canyon toward-the-soon-to-be-plugged tunnel and look at the location where the unsightly scar and affront to Mother Nature used to be. John Doolittle’s “scar upon the land” is disappearing right before our eyes. It is slowly vanishing as the workmen, contouring the new bed to once again allow the American River to flow freely, transport their diggings on angel wings up the canyon cliffs and push the dirt back down to cover this unsightly scar. Miracles happen very infrequently in Auburn, so do not miss this one. This covering of the “Doolittle Scar” is definitely worth witnessing as a spiritual act of faith. If one miracle can happen here in Auburn, then so can another. That other miracle can take place in 2008 if the voters do what workers do. Voters can bury Doolittle himself with an avalanche of votes and completely rid our area of the John Doolittle “scar upon our land.” Voters almost performed a miracle last election. Miracles do take place … even right here in Auburn. Miracles always are more successful with help from the people.

Bush Continue to Try to Turn US into a Monarchy

King George continues turning our republic into a unitary executive i.e. monarchy. Attorney General Gonzales stated he was not sure if Congress had a role in the unitary executive. King George has signed over 700 signing statements, exempting himself from any law. Now he has implemented an executive order stating that each agency must have a regulatory policy office run by his political appointee, to supervise the development of rules and documents providing guidance to regulated industries. Bush thereby gives himself complete control of all government agencies and dictates what directives come out of every agency.

This order is a shameless power grab to offset his loss of Congress Nov 7. It is unconstitutional so Bush has created a constitutional crisis between two branches of government, diverting attention from Iraq. This order attempts to dissolve the power of the legislative into the executive branch. Oversight Chairman Henry Waxman said, “The executive order allows the political staff at the White House to dictate decisions on health and safety issues, even if the government’s own impartial experts disagree. This is a terrible way to govern, but great news for special interest.” Once again Bush reprehensibly favors the moneyed few over the many.

Doolittle Says Global Warming Is a Myth

Incredibly Doolittle and Bush say Global Warming (GW) is a lie, about which they are both experts. Over 800 of the world’s leading climatologists agree unanimously that GW is the world’s number one issue with many giving us only five years to reverse our planetary degradation. We elected the only person other than Bush and science fiction writer Michael Crichton ( whom Doolittle cites as his authority), who believes global warming is a lie. Doolittle’s wrongness on all issue is Bushian.

He voted against the minimum wage, voted to approve Bush’s troop surge which puts 21, 500 young Americans in peril of death for Bush’s utter stupidity and southern stubbornness, cantankerousness. He said his wife was no longer his fundraiser and then waffled. Does Doolittle ever know his own mind unless the Far Right tells him what to think? He supported the governor’s two dams, after promising Robert Matsui not to, took Matsui’s payola and then, when Matsui died, Doolittle broke his promise, re-pursuing the Auburn Dam, attempting to appease his handlers’ rage over his ineptitude.

And this is the New Doolittle! If you believe pigs can fly and the moon is made of green cheese, Doolittle is your mule.

When the State Executes a Person, We Are All Killers

Every religion has a prohibition against killing: Thou shalt not kill. When a person is executed by a government, he is executed by the people i .e. citizens of the State of California. Each government carries out the will of the people when carrying out an execution. Each of us is one of the people. Whenever a government executes a person, each of us is responsible for that killing … we become murderers collectively and individually. Whether we kill as individuals or as a mob as members of a government, we are still killers. Every time a death penalty is carried out, we citizens are all responsible for that killing. We have a code of law which is not a code of vengeance, which is quite difference from justice. A code of vengeance (revenge) has never been adopted, only a code of law; we must recognize they are quite different. If a person kills your sister, what you want on the animal level is vengeance … an eye for an eye. We can never teach people not to kill by killing. Vengeance is not justice and every citizen must know the difference.

Bush Lies in State of the Union to Create Fear

Bush’s State of the Lie speech did not disappoint. His fear mongering started immediately with immigration terrorists and 9/11. He lied that he had thwarted four attacks on the US. “We stopped the al-Quaida plot to fly planes into the tallest building on the West Coast.” The attack never got beyond the planning stage and fell apart of its own inanition. Bush is the only person to count this debacle as a possible attack.

Secondly, he “broke up a Southeast Asian terror cell grooming operatives for an attack inside the US.” He fabricated this; it has no historical basis. His third lie is “we uncovered an al-Quaida cell developing anthrax to be used against Americans.” This lie is laughable, purely fabrication again. And, fourthly, “we uncovered a plot to blow up passenger flights over the Atlantic.” This was a British bungle that Bush forced them to undertake. All suspects were released.

He uses his lies to conclude “we must take the fight to enemy” because he does not know how much longer he can protect us.

Bush’s credo is “the only thing we have to fear are those things I fabricate and tell you to fear.” What a leader!

Bush Edits Global Warming Data, Endangers Public

The cover for the Bush Mafia is finally falling off. Bush’s attempt to cover up his own EPA’s findings on Global Warming (GW) is revealed in Congressman Henry Waxman’s oversight of Bush pressuring his scientists to distort their findings. Bush edited the phrase “GW” out of reports to Congress. He refused to hand over subpoenaed documents from the EPA to Congressman Waxman, documents which show Bush’s “attempt to mislead the public by injecting doubt into the science of global warming and minimizing the potential dangers.”

White House policy on global warming was run by oil lobbyist Philip Cooney, who unilaterally deleted all mentions of global warming. Cooney came from the American Petroleum Institute, the largest oil lobby in the US; he headed the Council on Environmental Quality in the White House. He left the White House to work for Exxon Mobil. He perverted EPA finding on GW to fit Bush’s oilman contentions.

Bush and Congressman John T. Doolittle use science fiction writer Michael Crichton as their scientific authority to ignore GW. Over eight hundred of the world foremost climatologists have signed a document indicating GW is the world’s foremost problem. Bush continues to put the planet at risk.

Bush Is a Conduit of Taxpayer Money to Corrupt Corporate America

The Bush Administration’s lack of oversight in Iraq has led to billions of dollars in losses, corruption of Iraqi and American officials and massive wastes of taxpayer moneys on shoddy construction and fraud. Stuart Bowen, Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction, says corruption and fraud are rife throughout Iraq, with Iraqis stealing oil which must be transported by trucks because insurgents continually destroy pipelines.

Robert Stein, Controller of the South Central region of Iraq, is one of the few Americans convicted of corruption and sentenced to nine years, and his partner Phillip Bloom is currently being charged. No one has even been charged in the colossal incompetence in the building of the Iraqi Police Academy. The Academy is in such bad shape the Iraqis refuse to accept it. The only reason Stuart Bowen is still on the job as the only oversight person in Iraq is that Republican congress was blocked from eliminating his job.
Halliburton, Kellogg, Brown and Root, Bechtel (withdrawn) have all been implicated in corruption, but no charges have been brought by the Bush Administration, which acts as a shield to corporate corruption in Iraq and a conduit of taxpayer money to corrupt, incompetent, corporate

George W. Bush's madness must be apparent even to the most uninitiated. He contintues to pursue the same course of action in Iraq, believing mindlessly that the outcome will be different. He has put in harm's way an additional 21, 500 of our best and brightest young soldiers with no thought whatsoever for their risk. Only a callous and insensitive madman with not care for the harm he is inflicting on our young service people, on America, on Iraq and on the world would do what Bush is doing. He is the Butcher of Baghdad and now the Butcher of Our Brothers and Sisters. What butchery we have seen in Baghdad up to now will be dwarved by what is forthcoming by his new surge. Bush is behaving in total opposition to seventy percent of his fellow Americans by pushing ahead with his surge. He has no new plan, he has no explanation for his action, he has no support for his actions. Even the American Nazi neocons who originally orchestrated the ill-advised invasion of Iraq now believe it was a mistake and the execution of the invasion by the Bush administration is and has been a catastrophe.

Bush is the worst president in the history of our republic, the worst person ever to be president of the United States, and the most stubborn and unintelligent person ever to serve. He is a failure in all facets of his peersonal and professional life and a complete and abject failure not just as president but as a negotiator, diplomat and statesman. He appears not to even know what the word statesmanship means. He has surrounded himself with toadies, sycophants and lapdogs so completely that he can never hear the truth and even if he does, he is too benighted to act on it.

Truth has never been this man's companion, the lie has been his administration's policy and stupidity and bungling have been its guiding force.

He is beyond any form of redemption. The quicker he is impeached, the quicker the world will benefit. Then the United Nations War Tribunal can impose justice by trying him for War Crime and Crimes Against Humanity. George W. Harry Belafonte and many Americans believe George Bush is the world's

(Bloomberg Survey) The Lie continues as Bush administration policy. He and the Republican Party continue to terrorize Americans to retain power. His current
bogeyman is Ahmednejad now that Bin Laden has eluded him. Bush has been a

Republican Party has always used fear to intimidate America.

Bush has been the greatest recruiter of anti-US terrorists. Under Saddam, Iraq

Two republican signature gatherers sentenced in Orange County voter fraud case

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) -- Two signature gatherers charged with tricking voters in Orange County into registering as Republicans were sentenced to three years' probation.

Jason Holly, 36, and Jessica Sundell, 23, also were told Wednesday they cannot recruit voters or collect signatures for petitions, said Senior Deputy District Attorney Dan Hess, the lead prosecutor in the voter registration scandal case.

Holly and Sundell were among a dozen people arrested last fall and charged with fraudulent completion of affidavit of registration, a felony. One of the 12 defendants remains a fugitive.

Hess said the pair, who pleaded guilty in November, will get credit for time served: 24 days for Holly and 30 days for Sundell.

The signature gatherers were part of an Orange County Republican registration drive that paid recruiters up to $10 for each registrant. Orange County Republican Party Chairman Scott Baugh said in October that the party did not know about the illegal signature gatherings.

No charges were filed against the Republican Party, or the private firms that hired the suspects.

Prosecutors said the recruiters visited shopping centers and college campuses in an effort to find new voters. Residents in the district represented by six-term Rep. Loretta Sanchez, a Democrat, were asked to sign petitions for lower taxes or stricter sex offender laws, then tricked into signing voter registration cards, prosecutors said.
